Cape Girardeau · Est. 2024
A dimly lit tapas bar on William Street where every dish is made to share, every cocktail is crafted slowly, and the room hums just loud enough to feel like a secret.
Our Story
Murmur was born from a simple conviction: the best meals happen when you're not in a hurry. Tucked into a corner of downtown Cape Girardeau, we built a space where the plates are small enough to try many, the drinks are made with patience, and the volume stays low enough that you can actually hear each other.
Our kitchen draws from Mediterranean and Latin American traditions — olive oil–bright dishes, charred vegetables, cured meats, cheeses selected by hand — arranged for the table, not the individual. The result is a menu that invites order, not obligation.
The Bar
Our bar program is built around simplicity and craft — fresh juices, house-made syrups, spirits selected for character rather than prestige. Each cocktail is stirred or shaken with intention, then served without fanfare.
